Campaigns
CEP members across the country are active on many issues important to working people and their families and to their communities.
The awareness and political campaigns are developped through the democratic structure of the union and their goals can be diverse: raise awareness within the membership, educate the public, engage community members to work towards a fair and equal society.
This section contains detailed information on some of CEP's current campaigns as well as some tools that can be used to roll out campaigns in communities across Canada.
To start, read some pointers on how to lead effective campaigns.

![]() | Foreign Ownership
Telecommunication workers across the country are deeply concerned with changes in the ownership rules of their industry. Over the past year, the federal government has changed rules to allow for greater foreign ownership of telecommunications companies.

![]() | Election Campaigns
Participating in building Canada's electoral process does not only happen once every four years. In fact, elections take place regularly at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. CEP members have a long history of being involved in electoral campaigns and advocating for candidates and parties that present a vision and make commitments in the interest of working people and their families.
