MONTRÉAL -- Thousands rallied against reforms to Employment Insurance (EI) on Saturday, February 23 2013 in various towns in Québec, the Maritimes and in Ottawa. CEP members took part in the rallies. Read CEP's press release in support of the rallies.
WINNIPEG – A group of 400 people attended a rally at the Manitoba Legislature in support of Idle No More on Monday, January 28. CEP members participated in the action that was also held as part of the national Common Causes day of action. Singer Buffy Sainte-Marie spoke and sang to the crowd and a massive line dance took place. CEP members later attended the 25 year celebration of the Morgentaler decision held at the Women's Health Clinic in Winnipeg.
FORT ERIE - Ex-employees of Vertis were out on a picket line today, Friday, January 25. The Vertis printing plant shut down last week without respecting its obligations to about 100 workers, members of CEP Local 425G. Many of them have been working for the company for decades and are left without severance pay. Read more
NEW YORK CITY – Over two hundred people were present to the event called "Confronting the Climate Crisis: Can Labor Help Shape an Effective Strategy?" on Thursday, January 17, at City University of New York (CUNY). The National President of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union (CEP), Dave Coles, was one of the presenters at the conference.

VANCOUVER – CEP members marched to support public sector workers on Wednesday November 28. The members were attending the British Columbia Federation of Labour Convention happening in Vancouver and delegates rallied in a show of support from affiliates to get better deal for these workers.
VICTORIA - Thousands rallied on the lawn of the British Columbia legislature on Monday, October 22, to express opposition to the Enbridge and Kinder-Morgan export pipelines. CEP's President Dave Coles and Secretary-Treasurer were there to represent our union's energy workers.
