Who we are

The Western Region Women’s Committee (WRWC) is a working committee promoting leadership, education and training on issues affecting women. The Committee compliments the National Women’s Committee and together they will ensure the issues in the Western Region are communicated at the National level.

What we do

The Committee is charged with collecting information such as women’s contact information in locals, communicating upcoming events being planned for women within locals and planning and organizing the Western Region Women’s Conference. The Committee will collect a list of women activists, identify future leaders, and act in an advisory capacity by making recommendations on issues affecting women in the region to the Western Region Vice-President.

Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

The WRWC will only collect information that is required to fulfill their mandate and will take all reasonable steps to ensure the information is current and accurate. Information will not be disclosed without the person’s consent. If there is a situation where a third party is used in the course of fulfilling the Committee’s mandate, the Committee will ensure that the third party’s privacy policies are in place, and meets or exceeds the National CEP’s Privacy Policy.

The Western Region Vancouver office will administer the database of women in the region and will be responsible for ensuring said information is protected. Members who have questions or concerns regarding their personal information collected or would like to be deleted from the database may do so at any time by contacting the CEP WR Office Executive Assistant.

Policy statement on the poster: emails or other personal information collected will be used in accordance with the Western Region Women Committee’s Privacy Policy. For complete details click here [1].
