OTTAWA – The Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (CEP) is calling for a full accounting of the public money spent lobbying in favour of the highly controversial Keystone XL pipeline. FORT MCMURRAY – Members of CEP Local 707 in Fort McMurray braved the cold weather and spent an afternoon doing community outreach on Saturday, February 23. Young workers Carlos Malloy and Tanya Kothlow gave out hot chocolate during Winter Play and had the chance to talk to people about their union.
While Premier Alison Redford warned Albertans that the upcoming March 7 budget would face "tough choices," Redford is promising Fort McMurray and northern Alberta's residents they won't be forgotten.
