MONTREAL, Aug. 19, 2015 /CNW/ - Hundreds of Unifor activists from across Canada will gather on August 21-23 to meet as a national council. The meeting will be held at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
"Unifor's first two years have been characterized by significant victories at the bargaining table, in the political arena, in organizing drives and in our communities," said Unifor's National President Jerry Dias. "This meeting is about building on that momentum so that we can create a country with good jobs, strong communities and justice."

Unifor is Canada's largest union in the private sector, representing more than 305,000 workers. It was formed Labour Day weekend 2013 when the Canadian Auto Workers and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers unions merged.
