TORONTO, June 15, 2015 /CNW/ - Unifor will participate in hearings tomorrow about much needed labour law reform in Ontario.
"Ontario's labour market has changed dramatically over the last few decades, but our legislation has not," said Katha Fortier, Unifor Ontario Regional Director. "Low-wage and precarious work has increased. It's time we reform our labour law to better protect workers."
Earlier this year, the provincial government announced a review of Ontario's labour law, including a series of public consultations which begin this week in Toronto.

Unifor is Canada's largest union in the private sector, representing more than 305,000 workers. It was formed Labour Day weekend 2013 when the Canadian Auto Workers and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers union merged.
