TORONTO—Unifor’s Master Bargaining Committee has reached a tentative agreement for 9000 members working at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, averting a midnight strike at its Canadian plants in Windsor, Brampton, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Montreal, and Red Deer.
Unifor’s National President will provide more information at a news conference that will be streamed live on Facebook tomorrow morning.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, in compliance with Ontario health directives, only one pool camera and one pool photographer will be permitted on site at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto.
The news conference will streamed live on Unifor’s Facebook page and broadcast quality video of the event will be available shortly afterward for download upon request via email.

The details of the tentative agreement will be presented first to Unifor members during a series of virtual ratification meetings over the weekend, and members will vote on whether to accept the agreement over a 24-hour period, starting at 10 am on Sunday.
